My name is Julie and I am 9 years old. I go to school in Chelsea, Michigan and I am a third grader. I love animals and really like anything that lets me see and learn about mommy animals and their babies. That is why I like the book, A Warm Winter Tail by Carrie Pearson and illustrated by Christina Wald. I like the rhyming words because it is fun. I am a good reader and like looking at pictures while reading. My very favorite picture is the first page where the mommy fox looks like she is talking to one of her babies while the other brothers and sisters are sleeping or listening. My second favorite is the last page with no words. The humans are reading the same book sitting close together while the mommy deer is looking through the window. The mommy deer is alert because her tail is up but she still wants to look in because she is curious about the human mommy and child.

Julie, thank you so much for your comment. I'm sitting at my desk with a goofy grin on my face :) because your review makes me feel happy. I've always loved books with mama and baby animals too! Congratulations on being a good reader; this will help you throughout your life -- even with math! I like your favorite pictures and am amazed that Christina could paint them to look so real. Thanks again, Julie, for taking the time to tell me what you like about A Warm Winter Tail.
